My NICU Graduate's Journey
Born at nearly 34 weeks via emergency c-section due to complications during an emergency induction due to preeclampsia, Athena was ready to take on the world. She was not holding back and took a bottle the first day. She had to stay in the NICU until she gained enough weight. The doctors said she would be staying until her due date so, for 6 weeks but, she surprised doctors and nurses by only staying in the NICU for two weeks. She was determined to leave as soon as possible.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
She was constantly proving the nurses and doctors wrong by being above where they expected her to be and passing all expectations at a fast rate. She was determined from day one and that is definitely still one of her qualities.
