My NICU Graduate's Journey
Mason was born 833 g we spent 97 days total between BC Women's Hospital and Royal Inland Hospital.
They had told us at 21 weeks he at utero growth restrictuon and medical termination was discussed.
He managed to grow to where it was safe and viable miracle 1. He was born Oct 8 2020 34 days after I was admitted to maternity ward.
He spent 60 plus days on cpap but after a blood transfusion Dec 10 he was able to be taken off all breathing assister.
He left NICU 5 pounds and on a ng tube which was 35 days at home .
He has beat so many odds in life and continues to do so.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
He is smart, loves his sports , has an amazingly kind heart and shares a joy of life daily
