My NICU Graduate's Journey
Autymn was born at 26 weeks. She struggled a lot with her lungs and was trached at 5 months old and got a feeding tube at 8 months old. She spent over 5 months at the University of Ky and we were told there was nothing else to do for her. We found Nationwide Children’s which had a special unit for her lung disease and we transferred her there. She faced many struggles during her 351 day NICU stay but has over come ALL of them!! She got her trach out at 2 1/2 years old and got her feeding tube out at 9 years old!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Autymn is a true NICU warrior!! She fought for every breath of air for months and never gave up! Today she is a very active 11 year old girl who loves gaming, cheer, gymnastics and riding her bike!! To see her today you’d never believe the amazing story behind her!! She’s a light to all she encounters and true testimony to God’s love!!
