My NICU Graduate's Journey
Ezekiel spent 56 days in the NICU. They learned he had a right broken clavicle, torticollis, dysphasia and breath holding spells of an infant. He had spells 15-20 times a day resulting in him losing consciousness. He had thickened bottles to help him swallow safely. Physical therapy for his muscles & lots of sleep studies, swallow studies, etc. We had to learn soothing techniques, cues for distress and cpr to help him if needed. He graduated after 56 days & continued with multiple therapies, aero digestive clinics, dozens of doctors, multiple studies.. he had to have a portable oxygen tank and a pulse oximeter for about two years.. but he has been and continues to amaze everyone. Surpassing each goal everyone makes for him. 🤍

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Ezekiel has had an intense 3 years learning how to overcome every obstacle thrown his way. He’s surpassed every goal made for him, whether at home, in therapy or at school. I’m so proud of my boy. 🤍
