My NICU Graduate's Journey
Marleigh was admitted into the NICU on November 27th, 2024 at 35 weeks and 6 days. Prior to admission, Marleigh was diagnosed with fetal growth restriction and placental insufficiency which made her severely underweight. After being delivered via cesarean section, Marleigh became unresponsive and had to be resuscitated and transferred to Atrium’s NICU at only 4lbs and 32oz. In the NICU, Marleigh was on a ventilator and received countless tests monitoring her physical and mental development. After many long nights and plenty of prayers, Marleigh passed all of her screenings including hearing and MRI. Marleigh was discharged from the NICU on January 3, 2025 at 3:33 PM and was in great health. Marleigh is now 5 months and is a joy to everyone who is around her. Without the help of God, her family, and the amazing staff at Atrium, Marleigh is growing into the beautiful girl God destined for her to be!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
What makes us proud of our NICU graduate is her strength and persistence. Despite every challenge thrown her way from the time Marleigh was in her mother’s belly, to the girl she is now, Marleigh has overcome each and one of her obstacles beautifully. Not only that, but Marleigh’s journey has been a testimony to our lives, and those around her. At such a young age, Marleigh shines a unique light on those around her which makes us truly proud of our NICU graduate!
