My NICU Graduate's Journey
Ariyana was born with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. This is a hole in her diaphragm in which her intestines went up into her chest cavity pushing her heart and lungs to the right side of her chest. She has surgery at 3 days old and thankfully a successful one. She was in the NICU for 2 weeks before coming home. She has reached great milestones and today is so smart at 2 yrs old. She knows the full alphabet and can count to 15. She knows all her colors and many shapes. She has been nothing but a joy and we are so proud of her and thankfully to her surgeon and nursing team. She is very active and nothing hold her back.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Ariyana is smart, funny, loving and very daring. She is unafraid of anything. She has an old soul about her. She is friendly and just makes anyone smile that comes into contact with her.
