My NICU Graduate's Journey
Jeffery is our rainbow baby who was born at 32 weeks. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia after returning home from our “babymoon” at the beach with no prior health issues. He weighed 3 lbs 3 ounces at birth and stayed in the NICU for 21 days. Nothing can prepare you for having to leave the hospital without your baby. The constant monitors, nurses, doctors not being able to hold the baby that you prayed for and waited for year after year. We are so thankful and blessed. My heart goes out to the families who have children in the NICU for months.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
We are so proud of how smart, caring, helpful, affectionate and funny Jeffery is especially for his age and all of the things he has overcome in such a short amount of time. He is so advanced and we are truly blessed and amazed by him and Gods grace.
