NICU Hospital for my journeySeattle Children's Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyMilo was born via c section on April 7th, 2024. He was initially taken to the NICU at that hospital for low blood sugar and further monitoring as he was quite small for his gestational age. He then had some complications that required transfer to a higher level NICU at the children's hospital where he was later diagnosed with Hirschsprung's disease. He required an NG tube for the first few months of his life until receiving surgery at 4 months old to treat his disease.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?I'm proud at how strong and resilient he was from the second he was born. He endured so much at the start and conquered it all. He has continued to grow exponentially and meet all of his milestones and succeed in all of his therapies while continuing to be a loving happy boy. His strength and tenacity amazes me every single day.
