My NICU Graduate's Journey
I was hospitalized at 28 weeks with preeclampsia. I was considered high risk due to my advanced (41) age. Thanks to the doctors at the hospital, I was able to make it to 31 weeks and 3 days before having a c-section. Marcellus was born weighing 3lbs and 3oz. He spent 52 days in the NICU before he was able to come home. We had a NEC scare while there but everything turned out ok. He came home strong and ready to bring us all joy.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
He is my miracle. I had given up on having biological children but he surprised us all. Today he is strong and smart and full of energy. You can’t even tell that his entry into the world was rough. He loves to talk and build things. I couldn't ask for more!
