NICU Hospital for my journeyMetro Health Medical Center
My NICU Graduate's JourneyFirst I was in bed rest due to my water breaking, I stayed on bed rest for about a week then out of nowhere I went into labor! I was so nervous and had no idea what to expect for I’ve never experienced this before with any of my previous pregnancies! When I delivered Nylah she came out crying, and it made me cry. The pandemic was approaching and the hospital was changing rules for the NICU about every week! I witnessed Nylah go thru every breathing machine then to finally be able to hold her n feed her was one of my most precious times sometimes I felt like she knew it was her mommy because she wouldn’t cry but be relaxed. Mind you they called her the feisty one because she didn’t want to be touched! But when mommy was there she was quiet lol I visited my baby everyday at the same time, and was able to feed, change her diaper, and just hold her. I named her Nylah because it means champion, and she really did that while in the NICU!
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?I am so proud of her because she fights for what she wants, and she did exactly that as a preemie!
