My NICU Graduate's JourneyMy baby was born at 33 weeks and 3 days due to placental abruption. The whole experience was traumatizing to me and I still suffer from PTSD. She was such a strong trooper! She was LUCKY to have spent only 23 days in the NICU. I pray for all those babies in there with her have went on to be happy and healthy. Prayers for those parents. My little NICU baby has hearing loss in her right ear, hemangioma on her back, has had tubes put in her ears and about to have adenoids removed, she has allergies and eczema. She is almost two years old and so sassy! She is sweet and funny. Better than watching tv. She LOVES ducks and dogs. Ms, Rachel is her favorite show to watch. Minnie Mouse is her favorite character. Truly blessed! Stay strong, NICU parents. These kids are tough!!
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate? She was only in the NICU for 13 days and went from incubation to assisted oxygen in her nose very quickly. We struggled on eating a little longer, but she just flew through it. She’s full of sass and so sweet now. Twonado.
