My NICU Graduate's Journey
Eleanor had no complications during pregnancy and was a full-term baby. Upon delivery she didn’t breathe, causing brain bleeds. This lead to a month-long stay in the NICU during which we learned she had a couple of rare chromosomal abnormalities. From day one, she’s been a fighter and an avid music fan requiring it in some form to be played non-stop. Since sharing a birthday with Coolio, Gangsta’s Paradise was her NICU graduation song.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
She’s so tough and has so overcome so much. She still battles frequent hospitalizations and faces potential future challenges, but she’s super brave and doesn’t complain about it. She’s my hero.
