NICU Hospital for my journeyFranciscan Health Lafayette
My NICU Graduate's JourneyGabi was born at 35 weeks. She went to NICU for observation. We got to take her home and then 30 days later we ended up in the NICU because she had an infection to the point where it almost killed her. she stayed in the NICU for 10 days. We had to cpr on her because she stopped breathing and was turning blue. When we got to the hospital she ended up almost dying they brought the crash cart in and there was nothing we could do but watch. They took her up to NICU once they got her stable. They did a spinal tap on her and ran a bunch of tests. Come to find out she had a urinary track infection and late onset Group B strep. Parents worse nightmare.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?Gabi amazes me every single day. We do have some strengths that we are working on because she does have physical therapy and she has speech therapy due to the fact that she is a little behind but every day she’s amazing me and we’re just glad she’s here and we still have her.
