My NICU Graduate's Journey
Dawson was born September 17th 2024 at 27 weeks with severe IUGR he only weighed 15.3 ounces and 10.5 inches! Dawson is our little Superman at 11 days old before mommy or daddy could even hold him he was diagnosed with hospital acquired pneumonia ecoli and staph all at the same time! Dawson only spent 90 days in the NICU, I know I say only 90 like that’s a short time but for his birth weight and how sick he was it was a very short time!!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Dawson makes us proud in more ways than I’ll ever be able to put into this tiny little box he’s 7 months 4 months corrected, he can say Hey, mama, Da, Hi and Yea all with the sweetest little smile I’ve ever seen! When he was sick he never acted sick he kept pushing his nurses joked that no one told him he was sick so he didn’t know! Being born in less than the 1 % Dawson has been catching up dramatically! He scoots across the floor using his toes during tummy time can sit unassisted for short periods and has completely amazed us at every turn in his short little 7 months he is exactly what our family needed to realize that miracle are real and I’m raising my HERO!
