My NICU Graduate's Journey
Wyatt was born with spina bifida (myelomeningocele) he had 7 surgeries within a month. He kept reopening his back. he had to be put into a medical coma to with a wound vac to help heal. He is a very unusual baby has he has full leg movement and not paralyzed like most babies like him. He spent a month in the coma. We ended up spending 63 days in the NICU. He is now 8 and will be having his 12th surgery June 2nd 2025.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
We were finally able to go home and be happy and healthy. Having a wet diaper made me cry!
