My NICU Graduate's JourneyChristopher was born at just 32 weeks, weighing a mere 2 pounds. He was in distress, showing no signs of life, and had to be delivered via emergency C-section. He spent 5 long months and 1 day in the NICU before finally coming home on May 6, 2009. Every year we celebrate his N I C U Later day.
In his short 16 years, Christopher has endured 23 surgeries—each one a testament to his strength and resilience. He has worn a Superman shirt to almost every single surgery except the ones he had while in the BICU. He is truly one of the strongest people I know. Despite everything he’s faced, he remains positive and full of life, with so much still to share with the world.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?Christooher is strong and has been through everything that should have torn him apart and still he keeps his positive outlook on the world. He is kind and compassionate to all those around him and truly is one of a kind.
