NICU Hospital for my journey

My NICU Graduate's Journey
My son was born at 24 months and a day. He weight 1 lb 7 oz and was 11.5 inches long. I use to compare him to a subway sandwich.
Before turning a month old his organs started to show distress and it was determined a PDA ligation was necessary. He underwent heart surgery on Valentine's Day.
He would remain in the NICU for 105 days, just a few days short of his expected due date. We were blessed that inspite of entering the world so early he graduated with only minor scar tissue in his eyes that dissolved on its own.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
What make me most proud of my son is his heart, which guides all his choices and actions. He loves without condition. He does not withhold his friendship from anyone or hold grudges. His first best friend was a special needs student in my class. He does not see what is on the surface but what is on the inside.
