NICU Hospital for my journeyOur Lady of Lourdes Hospital Camden, NJ
My NICU Graduate's JourneyQuentin was born not breathing and at 4 lbs at 35 weeks. His heart had almost stopped. He needed a immediate chest tube as his lung had collapsed and was intubated to help him breathe. He was able to be "brought back". Quentin spent a month in the ICN (NICU) thanks to the amazing doctors and nurses. Upon graduating from the ICN, he had many hours of therapy and was seen by many specialists. No one was quite sure what happened in utero.
Quentin is now graduating from high school and is attending Georgian Court University in Lakewood NJ in their TCS Program in the fall. Quentin has been dancing for 10 years at a local studio and participated in the performing arts at his high school in both musical theater and choir all four years. He loves to be on stage and lights up when he is performing.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?Quentin has never had it easy. He has had to work harder for every thing, no matter how easy it may come to someone else. He has never let his disability deter him. His passion for performing shines through and makes every one smile.
