NICU Hospital for my journeyNYU Langone Health
My NICU Graduate's JourneyAt 30 weeks pregnant I was pacing around my apartment in the middle of the night super uncomfortable but with no real thought that I was actually in labor. With growing discomfort I ran to the bathroom and proceeded to give birth to My first son in the toilet at 2am. After a frantic call to 911 my second son was born at the hospital an hour later. Both boys spent about 2 1/2 months in the NICU and finally came home this February. The NICU Team at NYU became like family. Traveling to see the boys everyday including on Christmas and New Year’s became less heartbreaking knowing they were getting the absolute best care. I contribute everything to who they are now to the strangers who loved them dearly.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate? These boys wanted to be here. Despite a high risk pregnancy and traumatic entrance into the world these boys were fighters. I just know they are going to do big things in their lifetime.
