My NICU Graduate's Journey
Brooklyn was born as a twin at 23 weeks. Her sister passed a few hours after birth and Brooklyn remained in the NICU for 110 days! Brooklyn was born at 453 grams (15 ounces) and lost 2 ounces during the first few days of survival. Our doctors, nurses, and pediatric staff worked very hard to keep her alive! And they kept us informed the whole time! She graduated from Children's Hospital of Georgia with oxygen, a GTube, and faith that Brooklyn would be a healthy child!



What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Brooklyn is such a joy to be around. I am proud of her courage, her empathy, and her drive to learn new things.
