My NICU Graduate's Journey
Christian was supposed to be born on December 29th but due to my failing heart and kidneys, he was born on Veterans Day. He was born with a heart murmur and VSD(Ventricular Septum Defect) which affected his breathing and eating. He had a feeding tube in his nose and stayed in a closed incubator until he was released. He spent two weeks in the nicu and was able to go home 2 days before thanksgiving.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
He’s a little fighter, the doctors were amazed at how he just started feeding and making progress before he went home. To be a premature baby with heart problems he has thrived and progressed well.
