My NICU Graduate's Journey
We did IVF and got our twins on the first round and were blessed with a girl and a boy. They were born at 21 and 3 - weighing 3lbs 3oz and 2lbs 14oz. We spent 78 days in the NICU and thankfully came home together the same day on feeding tubes but neither kept them for too long. The only lasting issue from being born early is my son has glaucoma but it is stable and he just sees a specialist once a year. They are both still tiny for their age but healthy 1st graders getting ready to start 2nd grade.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
The are both very smart and are doing great in school. They don't let their size slow them down. They make friends wherever they go.
