NICU Hospital for my journeyTexas Children’s Hospital & Children’s Hospital New Orleans
My NICU Graduate's JourneyFrom the beginning they were both so tiny & mighty. Everything happened so fast, for Jaden the bigger and louder baby, I knew you would be ready to go home quickly. Kaden my first born, the more fragile and quiet baby had a fight ahead of us, we never expected. I was sent to Houston, TX for a procedure due to TTTS at 23 weeks. The surgeon couldn’t perform the procedure due to a main artery running between the twins’ sacks. So they insisted we stayed to deliver the babies instead of going back home to Mississippi. The boys finally made their grand entrance after about a month. Jaden wasn’t ready to come out the womb but after he did he was to go home from the NICU at Texas Children’s Hospital after 2 months. Kaden was ready to see the world & at 6 months old, we were able to transfer him by air closer to home. After many ups and downs, finally at 9 months old baby Kaden was ready to graduate the NICU at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?Coming in this world at just 1 & 2 pounds, I knew you both would be my little miracle babies. Now at 3 years old, you both amaze us every day! No matter what struggles may come your way, just know we will always be right there by your sides to see another day!!
