My NICU Graduate's Journey
Our 32 weekers, our belly babies, our twinies, Ian Robert and Arya Florence. Being NICU parents is never easy. The twins had their ups and downs throughout their stay. They both have dysmotility of their bowels, significantly dropped weight, and at one point could only eat 5oz set to push to them over 3 hours. We played the waiting game for a while with their bellies and Ian's apenia, but Ian was able to come home after 40 days and Arya after 46 days (on her daddy's birthday)! Life never slows down with twins, and they still have some small issues due to prematurity. But overall they are happy, crazy, adorable 16 month-olds!

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Seeing their inherent twin bond even though they spent their first couple of weeks it separate isolettes.
