My NICU Graduate's Journey
The twins were born at 31 weeks and 6 days. Although they were little they both were fighters from the beginning. I was admitted to the hospital at 23 weeks and prepared for the girls. During this time I visited the NICU to understand what was in store and also spoke with Hand to Hold volunteers. The girls were delivered in an emergency c-section. We stayed in the hospital a total of 34 days in NICU and were determined to bring both girls home at the same time.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
We were told most twins do not go home together. Both girls had minor setbacks but fought through it all. We were able to bring them both home after 34 days.
