NICU Hospital for my journeyBaylor Scott&White All Saints Medical Center
My NICU Graduate's JourneyOn my bday 8/10 I visited my obgyn and went straight to hospital because of preeclampsia at 37 wks Nikolas was born 8/13 at 7:57 pm, I heard him cry, we hugged and he was quickly transferred to the NICU right away leaving me behind missing him and unable to visit him until 3 days later when my blood pressure stabilized. Thankfully my mom (welita) was able to go see him. I was later discharged and Nikolas was in the NICU for 7 days and it was the longest days of our lives. Niko had a feeding tube as he struggled to breathe and drink milk. He also was under UV and had oxygen and an IV( which he took off and scared all the NICU nurses at 2days old) He’s been a wild one since ever lol
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?Niko was tiny 5lb baby so little and cute. He now is 3 years almost 4, he’s 42lbs wearing size 6-7! He knows all the planets and dwarf planets too. He memorized all 50 states, the 26 letters of the alphabet and numbers 1-30! He is so curious, loves books, lighting McQueen, and loves to run outside! He has come a long way! We are so proud of him! He’s our little tornado of joy!
