NICU Hospital for my journeyLawrence & Memorial Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyJosh decided he was ready to enter the world at 28 weeks. His journey was rocky at times with the need for many procedures and surgeries before he was well enough to be released home. Josh was a resident in 2 NICU facilities for 3 months (One was fairly new at that time!). During his residence the doctors and nurses were caring and made sure we knew everything that was about to take place with our first baby. They offered many educational opportunities for not just myself and my husband but for anyone who would be caring for him at home.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate? My NICU graduate fortunately made a full recovery from his surprise entrance at 2 lbs 3 oz. The thing about him that makes me the proudest is how he has become a loving father or 2 young babies of his own. He makes sure that they are loved everyday! He is also a dedicated Firedighter/EMT who selflessly gives to his community and helped to save many lives. He is a wonderful son who makes his parents proud everyday!
