My NICU Graduate's Journey
Braylen was born at 38 weeks without any complications. Then at just 5 days old he was rushed to our local ER due to vomiting and abdominal distention. He was then transferred to Cardinal Glennon in St. Louis. There he was diagnosed with a mid-gut volvulus and had to have emergency surgery to remove most of his small intestine. Braylen spent 6 months in the NICU.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I’m so proud of Braylen because of his resilience. He is such a happy little boy. He loves people and to wave at everyone.
