My NICU Graduate's JourneyOur daughter Savannah was born at 34 weeks and 2 days after I developed preeclampsia related to severe high blood pressure. After birth, Savannah was admitted to the NICU, where she spent 13 days growing stronger each day. It was a scary and emotional time for our family, but today she is a healthy, happy, and thriving 2-year-old. We are so grateful for how far she has come and for all the doctors and nurses who cared for her along the way.
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate? What makes me most proud of my NICU graduate is her strength and resilience. Even before she came home, Savannah showed us how strong she was by fighting through her NICU journey. Watching her grow from a tiny premature baby into a healthy, happy, and thriving 2-year-old has been the greatest blessing. She reminds me every day that even the smallest fighters can overcome so much
