My NICU Graduate's Journey
Lyriq entered this world at 32 week early. After some scans it was determined I needed an emergency c-section due to unseen complications with her and myself. She was not breathing once they took her out but after a few minutes I heard that little cry. They cleaned her up a she was on her way to the NICU. Although it was only 2 weeks it seems like forever. Just seeing her with tubes, nothing being able to take her home with all of her items crushed my heart but we were going to do what it took to have our little girl home. She came home at 36 weeks. She is almost 2 now and that fight she had when she was born, she still has that fight and determination today.
