My NICU Graduate's Journey
Atticus was born July 2024 at just 23 weeks 5 days. At birth he weighed a mere 15.9oz (450grams). Atticus spent 149 days in the NICU and battled multiple pneumonias, tested positive for CMV, had injections and laser surgery for ROP, and is set to have his last hypospadias correction surgery this month. Through it all though he has remained a spunky, sweet, wild little boy. Today Atticus is almost 2 years old and thriving. He's walking on his own, starting to talk more, and every day he gets sweeter!
While the start to his life was scary and so uncertain our Gus has proven all the odds wrong. His favorite things include Bluey, chocolate milk, kitty cats, and snuggling with Mom and dad.

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
His strength and determination will always amaze me and make me so very proud of him.
