My NICU Graduate's Journey
Majesty is a blessing to me. When she came she was born premature at 29 weeks on October 2nd at 7:45am. Her original due was December 18th but due to my placenta going bad we had to due an emergency cesarean section which I was not prepared to do because I wanted to do vaginal. But my baby girl is fighter for sure yet she had a breathing tube and ng tube to feed she still kept thriving. She had a few setbacks with finding the best formula for her but I never gave up hope on her growing. She eventually was off the c pap but still had the ng tube. We practice feeds every day until we had gotten a call to bring her home but she had to be on the ng tube. For me to hear them say she can come home was the best thing ever after 79 days being in the NICU.

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
I’m proud that my daughter is a fighter like me and her dad. I’m proud that she graduated from having the ng tube finally out her nose and taking her feeds by mouth. She gives me so much joy every time I see her in the morning smiling at me and laughing. I truly have the greatest gift in the world.
