My NICU Graduate's Journey
Riley was born at 24 weeks, weighing just 435 grams (less then a pound) then dropped to half a pound soon after she was born. She was so tiny and fragile, and I was terrified that she wouldn't make it. Riley spent 150 days in the NICU. During that time, she had to overcome a number of challenges, including many months of respiratory difficulties, swallow study’s, a G-tube surgery an umbilical hernia surgery, blood transfusions and so many scans and pokes. Riley is a fighter, and she never gave up!

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
I’m proud of Riley for simply being Riley. She came into this world fighting harder than most people ever have to, and through every challenge she’s continued to shine with so much love, strength and personality. Watching her overcome so much has made me admire her more than words could ever explain.
