My NICU Graduate's Journey
My sweet boy Kamari , my miracle baby . At 13 weeks pregnant a cervical cerclage was performed due but during surgery water bag was punctured and after this is when I knew my baby was a true fighter , even with doubts , leaking fluid and many what ifs my baby still fought and stayed in the womb till 32 weeks , he was born with minor issues such an oxygen , jaundice , and sugar level issues . The nurses and doctors were so amazed after a week of bad days , my Kamari fought so hard , his oxygen levels moved up , he began gaining all the weight he was losing . He was released from NICU after a 3 week stay .

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
He is such a bright boy with a big personality. He accomplishes every milestone like a pro . After many doctor visits and test he remains such a happy boy . I’m so honored to have went through this experience with him because it’s showed me that even with odds against , things can still change .
