My NICU Graduate's Journey
Our journey was rough. I planned to have her naturally with a due date in September. She wanted to join the fun and decided to arrive in July. The staff at the hospital was outstanding. Sometimes even made the rough days seem “easy” with doing crafts or a “spa day” for her. While she was swaddled, her eyes would always follow those who were talking. She is extremely curious. She worked hard each and every day, hitting the NICU milestones. Then the car seat test came. It was hard because just hours away from being released, she failed. It broke our hearts. Little did we know the next day she would pass!!! He dad and I spent every day and every night with her until she was discharged. We never wanted her to feel alone and that we were always there for her. She’s overcome so much since then!

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
We are so proud of Gabriella because of how tough she is no matter what she is doing. She excels beyond what is expected of her. She is always determined to complete whatever she sets her mind to. She is super intelligent and extremely aware of her surroundings.
