My NICU Graduate's Journey
Theodore "Teddy" was born at 27 weeks on October 17, 2025. He spent over 4, almost 5, months in the NICU. He had poorly developed lungs. He was intubated for over a month, on CPAP for 55 days then high flow nasal cannula for just over a month. He had bilateral Inguinal hernias and due to his long term respiratory support, he had trouble eating by mouth. At the end of February we got a gtube and had the hernias repaired which allowed him to come off of all respiratory support and he graduated on March 9, 2026.
He was born at 1lb 15oz, 13 inches long. Today he is over 12lbs and 23 inches long.

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
I am proud of his strength. He defied all odds and left the NICU with only a gtube. He is a very brave, resilient little boy.
