My NICU Graduate's JourneyOur NICU journey began when our baby girl arrived at just 30 weeks after an emergency induction due to severe preeclampsia. What should have been the happiest moment of our lives quickly became the scariest. During the middle of a pandemic, we spent 2 long months in the NICU praying, hoping, and holding onto faith while doctors prepared us for the unknown. Her tiny lungs and stomach weren’t fully developed, and the chances of survival were low… but Mariana had other plans. 🤍
She fought harder than anyone we’ve ever known. Through every monitor, every setback, every sleepless night, she kept proving how strong she was. Today, she still battles acid reflux and asthma, but she continues to grow, learn, smile, and amaze us every single day.
Mariana is our miracle, our fighter, and living proof that even the tiniest humans can carry the biggest strength. ✨
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate? What makes me most proud of my daughter is her strength. From the very beginning, she fought battles most people could never imagine. At only 30 weeks, with so many obstacles against her, she showed us what true resilience looks like. Even now, through every challenge with reflux and asthma, she continues to grow, learn, smile, and enjoy life with so much courage.
