My NICU Graduate's Journey
Angelena was born at 30 weeks after premature rupture of membranes at 25 weeks. She was 3 lbs. 4oz. at birth. She had a lot of development delays as a young child but music always helped her. She has Ehlers-Danlos and has had many things to overcome in her 23 years of life. She sings opera and enjoys music of all genres. She plays piano, ukulele and guitar. Her absolute favorite and what started it all was Phantom of the Opera when she was just 18 months old. Although she couldn’t speak she would hum all the music.

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
She has now graduated college and is an elementary school music teacher. She loves being able to share her joy of music with anyone who will listen but especially children. She is also a very talented artist. She loves to draw and has a passion for photography.
