NICU Hospital for my journeyWomack Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyOur NICU journey began when my twins, Jason and his sister Jaci, were born prematurely at just 27 weeks due to early labor. Jaci weighed only 1 pound 5 ounces, and Jason weighed 2 pounds 5 ounces. They were both tiny but incredibly strong.
Sadly, our family experienced a heartbreaking loss when Jason’s twin sister, Jaci, passed away from Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) on October 28, 2019.
Jason continued to fight every single day in the NICU. After spending three long months in the hospital, our miracle baby was finally discharged on December 15, 2019.
Today, Jason is a happy, healthy, and handsome little boy who represents strength, resilience, and hope. He is our rainbow after the storm and a living reminder that even the tiniest babies can overcome the biggest challenges. We are so proud of how far he has come.
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?I am incredibly proud of my NICU graduate, Jason, because he is the true definition of strength and resilience Now 6 years old, Jason is thriving beyond anything we imagined. He is incredibly smart and began reading at just 1 year old. He loves learning and excels in every activity he participates in, including sports and enrichment programs.
Jason is kind, funny, and full of life. He is not only a survivor but a true miracle. We are so proud of the strong, bright, and amazing boy he has become.
