My NICU Graduate's Journey
Ethan was born at 39 weeks and had a traumatic delivery. His shoulder was stuck on my pelvic bone and was not breathing when he was born. He also was paralyzed on his right arm and lost a third of his blood volume into his head due to a subgaleal hemorrhage. He received his first blood transfusion at 2 days old.

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
Ethan is an amazing older brother and son. He is empathetic, kind, and also willing to help. He plays baseball, takes honors classes, and is amazing at the piano. He shines when playing music.
