My NICU Graduate's Journey
Jaxson was born 6 days after his twin sister at 25 weeks 4 days pregnant at home on the bathroom floor. He wasn't breathing at birth. He was born with a grade 4 brain bleed on one side and a grade 2 on the other side. He had a hole in his heart that had to be manually closed. He had blood transfusions repeatedly, an infection in his blood stream, high blood pressure, lung disease and so much more. We were told he would never walk, crawl, run or jump let alone talk, laugh or live any type of normal life. At one point we were told to make funeral arrangements cause there was nothing else that they could do! We held onto our hope and faith and prayed each and every single day, hundreds of times a day!

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
Jaxson has been willing, motivated and determined to beat all the odds that have and will be thrown against him in life. He is thriving in life as a twinless twin at 3.5 years old.
