NICU Hospital for my journeyPresbyterian Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyTyshawn was born 24 weeks. It was the scariest time of my life but every doctor, nurse, therapist at Presbyterian was amazing, I am still connected to them today. I couldn’t have done it without them. We stayed in the NICU for 118 days. I was housed at the Ronald McDonald. Tyshawn journey in the NICU was hard but felt easy at the same time because he did so well. We had a few scares, but he fought so hard. Tyshawn left the hospital on oxygen but was taken off about a month later. He’s had his PDA closed at 1 years old and that’s the only surgery he’s had. He has therapist that still sees him today but will be released this year. The NICU will always have a special place in my heart, and I will forever be grateful of everyone involved. I will always support in any way I can to NICU babies and families.
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?I am proud of my son for being so strong. He was so fragile and beat all odds for being born so early. I'm proud of him every day. He is the most loving, funny, and continues to make me proud.
