NICU Hospital for my journeySt David’s North Austin Medical Center
My NICU Graduate's JourneyAsher and Bishop entered the world at just 30 weeks after undergoing a life-saving surgery for Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Their journey began long before birth, filled with uncertainty, strength, and hope. Both boys spent their first two months in the NICU, surrounded by monitors, tubes, and the constant care of incredible nurses and doctors. Every ounce gained, every feeding milestone, and every breath without support became a victory worth celebrating. Their NICU journey was not easy, but it was filled with resilience, love, and countless moments that proved how hard they were willing to fight.
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate? What makes me most proud of my NICU graduates is their incredible strength from the very beginning. Asher and Bishop were born at 30 weeks after Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome surgery and spent two long months in the NICU fighting through challenges no baby should have to face. I’m proud of every milestone they reached , every ounce gained, every tube removed, and every day they kept pushing forward. Despite such a hard start, they continue to grow, thrive, and fill our lives with so much joy. Their story reminds me every day that miracles can come in the tiniest forms, and that even the smallest babies can have the biggest strength.
