My NICU Graduate's Journey
I was born at 29.5 weeks after being diagnosed with IUGR. I was born by emergency cesarean section Jan 18, 1989. I weighed 1lb 11oz and was just 13in. I spent the next four months (116 days) in the NICU getting stronger and growing at my own pace. I went home from the NICU Mother’s Day weekend 1989 on oxygen and a NG tube.

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
I’m proud of myself for beating the odds and fighting to live.
