NICU Hospital for my journeySisters of Charity Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyNoah was nearly born at 32 weeks due to mom having on and off contractions. Sisters Hospital's L&D department was able to stabilize these through medications and bed rest. Noah was then born premature at 34 weeks due to PPROM; he stayed at Sister's level III NICU where he was given extra time to grow under supervision of NICU doctors and nurses, build strength to take feeds, and treat jaundice. Sister's NICU staff did an amazing job helping us feel supported as we navigated split time between Noah and his older brother at home. He was there for 11 days until he was discharged home to celebrate the 4th of July with his parents, big brother, and two dogs.
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate? We are proud of Noah as a NICU graduate as he has continued to grow and learn quickly as he wants to try to keep up with his brother! Noah is meeting all of his milestones as he approaches his 2nd birthday; he loves Blippi, monster trucks, to jump around, and play ball. He is a sweet and adventurous boy and continues to impress us every day with his new skills, words, and silliness. We look forward to seeing Noah continue to grow and learn!
