My NICU Graduate's Journey
Iris Mae was born 26 weeks at 2 lb 3 oz, all of the NICU nurses always said she was born with personality. She has fought so hard to be here, she suffered from premature respiratory illness and was on oxygen for about 3 months. She was born with a hole in her heart also known as a PDA but it closed 🙏🏻 She endured three blood transfusions during her NICU stay and after 106 days she was finally able to go home! She has been nothing but a fighter and can brighten up anyone's day!

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
I'm beyond proud of my daughter, I prayed for a little girl for so long and after 16 years of having my first child I finally got this precious gift from above. She has fought so hard to be here today, she goes to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech feeding therapy, and is now in developmental intervention and she gives it her all! I love my daughter so much and I'm so proud of her! 💜🌈🦋🙏🏻
