My NICU Graduate's Journey
Foy was born on December 9, 2025, at 30 weeks and 3 days via c-section. He weighed 2 pounds and 15 ounces. He didn’t come out crying but once the NICU team got him breathing, he didn’t immediately require intubation. Hours later, while I was fighting for my life, they intubated Foy. 4 days later, he was extubated and put on a nasal cannula. About a month after birth, we introduced a bottle. Foy kept gaining weight pretty much daily. By February 3, 2026, we were headed home!! Foy weighed over 6 pounds when he came home! He’s been happy and healthy ever since!!!

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
I am so proud of Foy for fighting so hard and coming home before his due date! I am proud that despite the circumstances surrounding his birth, he is so happy and so healthy!
