My NICU Graduate's Journey
Emergency C section from pre eclampsia. I had hyperemisis the entire pregnancy as well as gestational diapetes. Evelyn had fluid in her lungs and low oxygen, she was on pap and needed to be on it for days before she was able to breath on her own. She had problems with the bottle, she was breastfed best, and we had to fight to get her weight and feed goals before she would get released. Now she's a happy, healthy, advanced, little almost 2 year old.

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
That she fought in the nicu, that she grew and took each step to get out with stride, she was determined, and she is so smart. She has hit every milestone and makes the trauma of nicu a distant memory.
