My NICU Graduate's Journey
Adelyn was born at 23 weeks 1 day, weighing 13.9 ounces after I received a diagnosis of cervical insufficiency. She spent 154 days in the NICU and overcame so many hardships to be the happy, energetic girl she is today. A pulmonary hemorrhage, brain bleeds, multiple blood transfusions, coming home with oxygen and a feeding tube for a short time—none of it kept her down. She captured the hearts of all who cared for her and proved that every baby is worth fighting for. She is a true miracle, a fighter, and a joy to everyone she meets!

What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?
I feel proud of her every single day for many reasons, but I think what makes me feel the most proud is watching her have a desire to learn and a determination to succeed at whatever she does. Even being only two years old, she doesn’t let difficult things or frustration keep her from accomplishing what she sets out to do.
