NICU Hospital for my journeyLittle Rock UAMS
My NICU Graduate's JourneyMy daughter was born in 2014 at just 29 weeks, weighing only 1 lb 9 oz. From the very beginning, she showed how strong and determined she was. She spent 3 months in the NICU at Little Rock UAMS fighting through many challenges that come with being born so early. Her lungs were not fully developed, and she faced infections, jaundice, and other health complications during her stay. There were many emotional days, uncertain moments, and constant prayers, but she continued to push through every obstacle. Today, she still struggles with asthma due to her premature lungs, but she has grown into a strong, loving, and resilient girl who continues to inspire us every day. Her journey reminds us how powerful faith, hope, and perseverance can be. We will always be thankful for the NICU staff who cared for her and helped our tiny miracle grow stronger each day.
What makes you proud of your NICU graduate?I am proud of my daughter because she never gave up, even from the moment she entered this world. Despite being born so tiny and facing so many health challenges, she continues to be strong, brave, and full of life. Watching her grow after such a difficult beginning has been the greatest blessing. She reminds me every day that strength does not depend on size. Her journey has inspired our family, and I am proud of the kind, resilient, and beautiful person she is becoming.
